Field Trip – Edison K-8 School (10-6-17)

On October 6th, 55 forth graders from Edison K-8 School came to Northeastern University for a field trip on engineering. After being given a presentation by volunteers Amanda, Orianna, and Carlin about the mechanics of catapults, students made their own Catapults. These catapults were then test fired by launching Skittles at a target. Then students had the opportunity to asked Northeastern volunteers about their college experience in the College 101 information panel.

In the afternoon students split up into small groups to design and build Paper Rockets. The students then watched their rockets launched outside. The students were then lead around the Northeastern campus by volunteers.
