The Alumni (Virtual) Afterschool Program for Middle-School-aged program alumni has begun, running for 9 weeks from October 6th to December 1st. Students will meet virtually once a week (via Zoom), on Tuesdays at 3:30-4:30pm, wherein the (starting week 2) previous week’s activity/project is reviewed and the new week’s activity or project is introduced. Beyond the 1/week meeting, students will be asked to work on tasks at home during the week, a couple hours at most. Students will engage in teamwork activities as well as activities focused around the program’s theme, which for this semester is: Putting the A (Arts) in STE(A)M!
We will be following all Federal, State, and Northeastern guidelines for working virtually with Minors. The program is primarily led by our affiliated student group STEMout, co-led by Nicolas Fuchs (summer program lead teacher), in addition to help from Northeastern undergraduate and graduate students.
Applications for this year’s program are closed. Thanks to all those participating in the first iteration of this program!
