Angela Chen

Angela is a Health Science major (2028) at Northeastern University. She currently works at Center for STEM Education as a work study student. She previously worked at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT, and Harvard in the Shalek Lab. Her research focused on analyzing the gene and protein expression of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) following Poly(I:C) stimulation using single-cell RNA sequencing and flow cytometry. Currently, Angela works at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in the Developmental and Cultural Risk Lab on the Building Our Bonds Authentically (BOBA) Project, which examines parent-child relationships and cultural influences on emotional development. Outside of research, Angela is also involved in SGA, SASE, NUGOAL, and Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority. Outside of school, she likes to eat, go out, and sleep.
