UPLIFT: Undergraduate Program for Leaders In Future Transformation
The UPLIFT program is an academic year research program for Northeastern University engineering (COE) students interested in learning more about and trying research for the first time.
In the fall, students are invited to attend a series of research seminars hosted by faculty. In the spring, selected UPLIFT Students engage directly with NEU Faculty members to conduct research, ~3-5 hours each week. Participants complete weekly status reports and present out their research at the end of the semester.
Students are encouraged to continue research in their labs after the semester ends, as well as to apply for an REU experience in the summer (REU Search | ETAPS REU). Additional support (office hours, monthly networking meetings, and research support) is provided by the Center for STEM Education.
