GE Girls @ Northeastern


GE Girls is sponsored by General Electric and is a one-week academic day program designed to encourage girls to explore the world of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), and STEM-based careers.

Each day, students participate in hands-on activities that include problem solving, study, research, writing and communication skills. The program will take place on the Northeastern campus [360 Huntington Avenue in Boston, MA 02115] with multiple days dedicated to field excursions.

Activities are led by Northeastern graduate students and supported by undergraduate science and engineering students.

  • Female students only
  • Students entering 7th or 8th grade the fall following the program are eligible to apply. Students from any schools (public, private, etc) are eligible.
  • Online application only.
  • Immediate family members of Northeastern University faculty may apply to the program but are not given any special preference. They must still follow all other eligibility rules.
