Gene Wizzes: Have you ever wondered why you are tall or why you can roll your tongue? What is the genetic code and how does it tell our body what to do? Genetics helps us understand everything from who we are to the microscopic viruses that wreak havoc on our population. Do you know how coronavirus testing works? How about the new COVID vaccine?

This afterschool program ran during the Winter 2021 semester, led by Northeastern genetics Professor Henzy and health science student Teddi as they lead hands on experiments to answer some of these questions and more. The program was for MA students in grades 7 and 8.
