
Dmitra Mukasa
D'mitra is a Bioengineering major (2028) at Northeastern University. She became involved with the Center for STEM Education following her participation in the Young Scholars Program at Northeastern. During the program, D'mitra worked with Dr. Rouzbeh Amini in the ISEC and Mugar Lab, where she did a biomechanical assessment of the effects of pregnancy on the tricuspid valve in murine models; and the examination of impact forces on the brain after bullet impact while wearing combat helmets. Outside of school, D'mitra enjoys cooking/baking, hanging out with friends, watching TV shows, and reading.
