Today is Earth Day (April 22), wherein we celebrate and demonstrate support for environmental protection (save the planet)! As the Coronavirus Pandemic progresses, you may have heard about carbon emissions falling. This is a great thing! (You can track your carbon emissions with this worksheet or through this online tool). However, we need to remember that this is a temporary thing as countries around the world have shut down their economies; when restrictions are lifted, our emissions will probably return to their current levels. Now is the time to move towards cleaner energy sources! Very interesting National Geographic article about this here.
Besides the resources we already shared in this week’s newsletter, here are some additional resources related to Earth Day.
