Data Analytics – Summer Program!

We’d like to share with you an opportunity for a virtual, 8-week STEM summer program for BPS high school students, the Data Analytics Summer Program, run by Professor Alice Mello at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies. This program will run from July 6th through August 26th on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at either 2pm or 5pm (two different sections) and running for 2.5 hours each session. You will learn all about data and statistics, such as how to analyze and represent data information to tell stories.

Requirements:
– Students must have completed their 1st year of high school
– Students must be Boston Public Schools students (due to funding grant’s requirements)
– Each group will have a maximum of 10 students (so apply as soon as possible)
– Students will need to be able to run Zoom on their computer and connect to the web to use Tableau

To apply for this program, please complete this application. We will process applications on a first-come, first-serve basis and students will be alerted if they have been accepted into the program within the next few weeks, at which point additional paperwork/forms will be required and additional information will be posted (virtual meeting link, location for in-person office hours, etc).
