Fall Callback 2018

On Saturday, November 3rd, the Center for STEM hosted its Fall Callback, where participants from past programs were invited back to campus for a reunion and fun STEM activities. This semester’s callback event was led by Engineering World Health, a relatively new Northeastern student organization, who are focused on creating biomedical devices for those in need. The presentations and activities were centered around the concept of bioengineering, which included identifying anatomical structures with a DIY microscope, mimicking antibiotic resistance using candy, and creating a working mask in an area of high pollution. Students greatly appreciated all the real life applications of the growing field of bioengineering!
