Today, 6th grade students from the Donald McKay K-8 school visited Northeastern to learn about energy: types, sources, and uses. Center for STEM Education staff and volunteers helped out to make this a successful day. Students learned about electrical energy and parallel and series circuits through snap circuits; learned about thermal and renewable energy through a solar panel activity; and learned about wind energy through designing wind turbine blades to quickly lift a weight.
