In celebration of Engineering Month, the Center for STEM Education conducted five reverse field trips during the month of February. Rather than teachers bringing their students to Northeastern to learn about various STEM topics, during these visits Maureen, Nick, and Claire visited the classrooms directly and taught two hour hands-on, engineering activities. The schools visited were the Mason Pilot Elementary School, Perry K-8 School, Murphy K-8 School, John F. Kennedy Elementary School, and the Mather Elementary School. The activities taught were paper towers, reverse egg drop, or catapults.
