Young Scholars Program
“[YSP] gave me a chance to try laboratory science and [get] my hands dirty in the best possible way. There’s nothing more valuable to a budding STEM researcher than being involved in a lab to practice the scientific method and learn to troubleshoot. You just can’t learn that from a book or in a basic classroom. I enjoyed being in a lab setting during the program and that encouraged me to continue to look for opportunities in college and beyond.”
