Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEM) believes that to help today’s girls we must provide opportunities for them to meet women immersed in the STEM disciplines and providing a variety of opportunities for exposure to STEM careers will increase interest and awareness among girls about STEM and encourage them to pursue higher education and careers in these fields.
You can help out on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 9am-5pm at The Sheraton Framingham Hotel, Framingham, MA, as Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts will host their Fourth STEM Conference and Expo. You can do your part by volunteering as a presenter for this event and spreading your love for STEM to our future leaders, scientists and STEM enthusiasts!
Workshop Details
• Workshop Presenter: Presenters are needed to create and present one or more workshops in the field of their expertise. All workshop presentations should be approximately 75 minutes. All workshops are required to be interactive and hands-on.
Girls will pre-select their workshops based on their interests. Each girl will have 3 workshops exposing her to activities and careers in that field. In the afternoon, girls will participate in a Trade Show where they will see what educational options are available to them, what STEM careers they might pursue in Massachusetts and participate in lively demonstrations.
