Northeastern’s NEPTUN (Northeastern Program for Teaching by Undergraduates) is again hosting the Fall edition of SPLASH, wherein high school students (grades 8-12) take fun and informative workshops offered by Northeastern undergraduates. This day-long event is entirely free, running from 9:00am – 5:10pm on Saturday, November 8th at Northeastern University’s Boston Campus (located in Ryder Hall). Students can come for as many sessions as you want throughout the day! NEPTUN is looking for both student attendees and NEU undergraduate and graduate students interested in teaching workshops.
Workshops cover a wide variety of topics and fields, some examples have included (see here for catalogue of past courses):
• Coup d’Etat: Tips and Tricks
• The Lore of Languages: How Coding Came to Be
• Artificial Intelligence: Q and A
• I Scream for ChemE Ice Cream
• Fermi Paradox: Where is Everyone?
• Live, Laugh, Love: Studio Ghibli
• Miraculous 3-Pound Jell-O
For Attendees: registration is open! To sign-up, please make an account and sign in at SPLASH website. Remember to complete your Participation Form before the event begins.
For NEU Students: registration is still open: consider signing up to teach a workshop, which can be on anything! To sign up, make an account and sign in on SPLASH website. Remember to complete your Paperwork for working with minors in advance.
