This summer, we will be running our annual YSP (Young Scholars Program). YSP offers future scientists and engineers a unique opportunity for a hands-on research experience while still in high school. This 6 week summer research program will run from June 24 to August 1 and will involve research in various fields of STEM such as chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, computer engineering, chemical engineering, and bioengineering with faculty and graduate student mentors. Students will also have the opportunity to explore various career pathways by attending and listening to Northeastern guest lecturers and visit corporate and government sites to see and speak with scientists and engineers in action. The program is free of charge and open to Massachusetts residents (within commuting distance) who have completed their junior year of high school (i.e. rising seniors). The program, which will take place on Northeastern’s Boston Campus, will culminate in final research presentations and a poster session. Read more about this program here and consider applying! Applications are open now and will close on March 15th, 2024.
